It’s tragic when a gadget dies.
Sometimes you just need some new batteries or a solid reboot, maybe a far as a reformat, but when you gadget really bites the big one, you can die a little inside.
I lost a friend this weekend who had recently helped me through trying times (see the last post) — my iPod finally bit the dust after 4 long years of love.
His health was deteriorating, there were signs; but like all gadget-hounds, I secretly hoped for a “death” so I could upgrade to the newest, coolest features encased in that small white Pod.
Don’t get me wrong, the hours of trying to reformat the iPod were, indeed, harrowing, and I’m not looking forward to plunking down a huge chunk of change to actually buy the video version/touch/iphone/etc. but I try to look at this with optimism….at least now I’ll be able to see video on the go.
