Tipping Point

5 05 2008

Our fellow NBC 5 blogger, Brian Curtis has a great point about tipping in his blog today….

Read his opinion here: http://thesausagefactory.wordpress.com/2008/05/05/the-hardest-job-ive-ever-had/

It goes hand in hand with our comment about how much the costs of food and gas prices hurt our service people in our restaurants. (read that one by clicking this here linky dink: http://dfwscene.wordpress.com/2008/04/30/running-on-empty/)

So here’s our new thought…which is Brian’s point, too…tip well and often for the folks that are worth it.

Running On Empty

We’ve done lots of stories on the rising gas prices, but sometimes it’s hard to see the effects of the economic impact unless we put it in perspective. Read the rest of this entry »

Where Does One Train To Be An “Ice Cream Czar?”

29 04 2008

We received word that Ben & Jerry would be holding a 30th Birthday Party, complete with FREE Ice Cream cones, Tuesday, April 29th from noon to 8 p.m.

What’s up with DFW Scene?

21 02 2007

Hey there,

If you’re headed to the movies this weekend (and you should be after you read tomorrow’s Flight Plan), you’ll need to head to the DFW Scene. Not only can you find five ideas for the next time you head to the multiplex, you can find out what to see in another of our articles, save a bundle with our Scene Stealers deal for the weekend, plus see the totals from last weekends box office, if you like that kind of thing.

Oooh, and do you like game shows? Then you have to go try out for NBC’s “Identity” in Dallas this weekend. We’ve got all the information on how to do that on the Scene.

And if you hate waiting at restaurants, you should check out our video report on how to get a table quite a bit quicker.

So what are you waiting for, check back in with the DFW Scene!

Oh, and if you like what we’re doing, or think we’re completely off, tell us!
