Yesterday night, after fawning for Pei Wei all day, we decided to cook some Chicken Fried Rice at home to satisfy the craving.
We have an electric Wok at home we often stir fry in, so we pulled it out, along with the frozen Fried Rice (thanks, Sam’s Club) and the necessary vegetable oil for the “fry” part. Only I didn’t grab the vegetable oil first, I pulled the olive oil.
Before pouring in the amount directed on the box, I caught myself. “This is the wrong oil,” I said to myself, and retrieved the correct bottle.
Now measuring the veggie oil, I thought to myself, “That would have been bad to use the wrong oil.”
“No,” my inner comedian said, “It would have been a Woking disaster.”
True story.
