You couldn’t turn on a radio this morning without hearing “Mandy” being played.
Yes, it’s true, Barry Manilow is in town, bring with him all the hundreds of fans who like his style of crooning. He even made our newly launched February Concert Calendar — which you can find by clicking here — along with Tom Jones, who entertained the ladies last night at the Meyerson Symphony Center.
Lots of folks seem quite excited about Manilow, but, I’ll admit, I’m not one of them. I can appreciate his talent, songwriting, and voice, but I don’t really think a Barry Manilow concert is the rip-roaring good time that others might.
